DESCRIPTION
This recombinant Human Fc hLeptin protein is made from HEK-293 cells. It is secreted with the sequence of Human Leptin (amino acids 22-167) fused with a human IgG1 Fc tag at the N-terminus.

BACKGROUND
Human Fc hLeptin is an 147 amino acid protein representing full length mature Ob of human origin. Mice with mutations in the obese gene that block the synthesis of leptin are obese and diabetic, and have reduced activity, metabolism, and body temperature. The expression of leptin mRNA is restricted to adipose tissue.
