This recombinant Human Fc protein is made from HEK-293 cells. It has the sequence of the Human IgG4 Fc domain.

Human Fc (IgG4) is the tail region of an immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4) that interacts with cell surface
receptors called Fc receptors and some proteins of the complement system. The ~230 amino acid
fragment generally exists as a dimer, although under reducing conditions, it exists as a monomer. It is the
basis for prolonged pharmacokinetics of antibodies and is commonly used as a fusion to extend half-life of
fusion proteins. IgG4’s hinge is shorter than that of IgG1, its flexibility is intermediate between IgG1 and
IgG2 and some rotation may occur around the glycine residue in its hinge region.
