This recombinant human E-selectin protein is made from HEK-293 cells. It comprises of the sequence of Human E-selectin fused with a mouse IgG1 Fc tag at the C-terminus. The predicted MW is 55 kDa, and observed MW on SDS-PAGE is approximately 75 kDa in reducing conditions. E-selectin is also known as Endothelial Leukocyte Adhesion Molecule-1, ELAM-1, and CD62E.
Selectins, also designated as CD62 antigens, comprise a family of carbohydrate-binding protein with three members; E-Selectin, L-Selectin, and P-Selectin. E-Selectin is expressed on endothelial cells.
