DESCRIPTION
This recombinant Human P-selectin protein is made from 293 cells. It is secreted with the sequence of Human P-selectin (accession # P16109, amino acids 42-323) fused with a mouse IgG1 Fc tag at the C-terminus. The predicted MW is 55 kDa, and observed MW on SDS-PAGE is approximately 75 kDa.
BIOACTIVITY
This protein has been shown to bind PSGL-1 (P-selectin glycoprotein ligand-1).
BACKGROUND
Selectins, also designated as CD62 antigens, comprise a family of carbohydrate-binding proteins, a family with three members: E-Selectin, L-Selectin, and P-Selectin. Human P-Selectin (GMP-140, LECAM-3, PADGEM, CD62P) expressed on activated platelets and endothelial cells and involved in mediating cellular interactions with leukocytes.

STORAGE
This Protein should be stored at -80°C.
Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4° - 7°C for 2-7 days.
Aliquots of reconstituted protein solution is stable at < -20°C for 3 months.

Purity is greater than 95%.
